Today the most remarkable monument is an offshoot of Giofyroy, at the height of the Village Inn St Syllas. This is a stone bridge over the road until 1910 connected Heraklion with the Prophet Elijah and the Messara.
The cave is situated on a hill, inside the Church of Saint George in Agios Syllas, municipal section Temenos of municipality of Heraklion.
Famous village of "Parakandias" with a rich history and tradition. It is 14 km from Heraklion and is built on an altitude of 569 meters on the Western outskirts of Youchtas "besieged" by many vineyards and olive groves. Most residents of the village are the refugee origin.
