In the village of Voutes survives the House of Trigyris.

In the Office of the parish there are several items that a visitor can be seen.
-carpets – boyrgies – embroidery
-traditional musical instruments
-Traditional Costumes. The women Costumes have made themselves by the women of the village.

At a distance of 13 km from Heraklion and at an altitude of 240 metres the village Voutes is located on the road Heraklion-Agios Miron and belonged in the villages of "Parakandias," while today is part of the Municipal District of the municipality of Heraklion.
