The entrance to the Gorge gets from downhill trail starts beside the picturesque Byzantine Church of St Antonios, where there is a spring with drinking water.
The Gorge has very dense vegetation with age-old trees and dozens of other plant species. The trail through the Canyon is part of the European path E4.
In the Gorge there is an old watermill, bat-watermill as the call the inhabitants of the village.
