A. KOKORDOYLIS HOUSE

In the village of Siva rescued today rich urban and morphological factors, characteristics of settlements of Crete, mainly of the late 19th and early 20th century, as the semi-circle of homes onto the North Slope tall Hill that "look" to the area of Heraklion, the dense construction and narrow alleys, particularly in the core of the settlement.

In Siva answered several houses robbed families but also mainly the poorest farmers, as indicated by the architectural characteristics of their dwellings. Many are platymetwpa with the entrance on the far side of the building's rectangular or plan c, double wall and sometimes with tall fences that don't allow Visual contact. The doors are either arched openings, either pilasters with capitals and architrave bearing – even in the symbol of the cross plot usually along with the date of construction of the House.

Two buildings in the village of Sivas are classified by the Ministry of culture and tourism as monuments. Going to the House Kokordoyli and House Lydadaki.

The House of A. Kokordoyli which is based on an engraved inscription on the architrave of the entrance door dates back to 1822, is located in the Centre of the village and is a typical example of local architecture of the 19th century, valuable for the study of the history of architecture. Unfortunately, the House is currently let to Kokordoyli luck with score to fragocastello kept perishing in rapidly.
